A Snag is a standing dead tree. This is not to be confused with the slang term which means: Sensitive New Age Guy. These images are of trees fallen, not standing – it just made for a good outlet to share that aforementioned knowledge.
Fallen trees tell stories of parts of the cycle of life. If they were stars (they are interchangeable on a very broad level), these photos may depict the stages such as White Dwarf, Supernova, or on the way to being a Black Hole.
